About AISECT International

AISECT, India’s prominent Social Enterprise, aims to become a global leader in skilling and education. Our operations in Africa and the Middle East focus on Skill Development, Higher Education, Financial Inclusion, e-Governance, and ICT-based services. Since 1985, our Bhopal-based organization has tirelessly worked towards inclusive change in rural and semi-urban areas. Over the past 33 years, we have empowered people, created jobs for youth, and fostered entrepreneurial initiatives in even the most remote corners of the country.

Anita's father was engaged in electrical work. However, his income was hardly enough to sustain the family’s needs. Anita felt the need to take up a job and support her family. She pursued several vocational courses, but they couldn’t help her secure a job. She joined the UNDP-DEEWY program implemented by AISECT and received training in hairdressing and beauty treatments. Using her newly acquired skills, she aced her job interviews and is today working in a premium salon. Anita now enjoys a stable source of income with which she supports her family.

Sameeksha has just graduated and was looking for a job. Her family was involved in odd jobs and their income wasn't enough. She visited the nearest AISECT centre in Bhopal and joined the UNDP-DEEWY program under which she received training in customer service and sales. After successfully completing the program, she got selected for a role at Shree Ram Motors. She is now confident about a bright career in the automotive industry and able to financially contribute to her household.
